Moments is comprised of five methods. Methods I-III are accompanied by additional improvisations, which are more loosely notated creating eight movements in full.

Method I and Improvisation I (clarinet) represent reflection.

Method II, Improvisation II (viola); Method III, and Improvisation III (piano) represent imitation.

Method IV and Method V represent experience.

Composer, Mara Gibson is originally from Charlottesville, VA, graduated from Bennington College and completed her Ph.D. at SUNY Buffalo. Internationally renowned ensembles and soloists have performed her music throughout the United States, Canada, South America, Asia, and Europe.
